Since joining Boston Metal in 2017 as employee #6, Tadeu has led the company through massive growth, oversubscribed funding rounds, significant scientific developments and the opening of Boston Metal do Brasil. He brings nearly 50 years of metals industry experience and deep expertise in global strategy, technology development and customer-focused growth. During Tadeu’s 28 years at CBMM (10 of those as CEO), he grew revenue from $100M to over $2B and led an 800% increase in the global niobium market. Tadeu holds a bachelor’s and master’s in metallurgical engineering from Escola Politécnica da USP and an MBA from University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School ofBusiness.Tadeu is also a metallurgical engineer, an invited lecturer for the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at MIT, the lead independent director at IvanhoeMines and an advisory board member at Brigham Women’s Heart and Vascular Center.
