Sebastian is the founder of Meranti Steel and Meranti Green Steel and has 15 years of experience in the steel industry, and close to 25 years of professional experience in total. He previously served as the CEO of JFE Meranti where he was also a Board Member from 2017-2024. Prior to the steel industry, Sebastian worked in strategy consulting and finance, including with Bain & Company and the World Bank. Sebastian holds a legal degree from Heidelberg University and an MBA from INSEAD.
